The Richmond Scene is an organization that promotes the inter-connection of all creative types in the Richmond area and helps promote their to work to the public at large.

We confidently believe in the strength of the collective. Our arts community is not only thriving but growing every year. In our minds, we see no reason why Richmond cannot follow in the direction of cities like Portland, Seattle and Nashville and become the next great city known for the art created here.

The primary vehicle for achieving our goal is our community website at www.TheRichmondScene.com. It functions much like other social networking sites, like Facebook or MySpace, except that TRS membeship is limited to musicians and artists. This way, they can use the profile they create to easily network with others who share their passion for creativity. Members or not, the public can access most of the site, so enthusiasts can view and listen to the work posted by our members.

Our site is also a great place to find out what is going on around town. With a heavy focus on our Events Calendar section, visitors can use TRS to find a current list of shows posted by our members and staff.

We also post reviews of local talent. We review albums, shows, film and most other forms of art. TRS is working very hard to continue to add content that will be a useful resource for members and enthusiasts.

While we believe we already have a great site for networking, TRS' goal is to expand as a physical and personal entity, always finding new ways to promote the arts in our great city.
